Cup on the Wheel 13+

Create your own handmade ceramic cup on the pottery wheel in a calm, guided studio experience.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing while shaping a cup from clay. The process is approachable for beginners, while still offering a rewarding and focused creative experience.

After your piece is fired, you’ll return for a second session to glaze and complete your cup with your own color choices.

The result is a functional, food-safe ceramic cup that you crafted yourself — simple, personal, and made to be used every day.

Workshop Format

Session 1 – Wheel Throwing (approx. 2 hours)
Create your cup on the pottery wheel with guided instruction.

Session 2 – Glazing (approx. 1–1.5 hours)
Apply glaze and complete your piece with your chosen colors.

Pickup
Your finished cup will be ready in approximately 2–3 weeks after firing.

• No experience needed — beginner-friendly
• Recommended for ages 13+
• All materials, glazing, and kiln firing included
• Results may vary — part of the experience is learning the process
• Wear comfortable clothing (clay can get messy)

Small Group Experience

We keep our workshops small and personal (minimum 4 participants). If the minimum isn’t met, we’ll offer an easy reschedule or credit.
