Ceramic Mug Workshop 12+

Create your own handmade ceramic mug from start to finish using the pottery wheel.

In this immersive three-session workshop, you’ll learn the full ceramics process — from throwing your mug on the wheel, to refining its shape, to glazing it with your own color choices. Each step is guided, making it beginner-friendly while still offering a rewarding, hands-on experience.

The result is a functional, food-safe mug that you crafted yourself — designed to be used and enjoyed every day.

What to Expect

• A deeper, more complete experience than single-session workshops

Workshop Format

Session 1 – Wheel Throwing (approx. 2 hours)
Learn the basics of the pottery wheel and create your mug form.

Session 2 – Trimming & Finishing (approx. 1.5–2 hours)
Refine the shape, trim the base, and add details such as a handle.

Session 3 – Glazing (approx. 1.5–2 hours)
Apply glaze using guided techniques to achieve your desired finish.

Pickup
Your finished mug will be ready in approximately 2–3 weeks after firing.

Good to Know

• No experience needed — beginner-friendly
• Recommended for ages 12+
• All materials, tools, and kiln firing included
• Results may vary — part of the experience is learning the process
• Wear comfortable clothing (clay can get messy)
• Attendance at all three sessions is required

Small Group Experience

We keep our workshops small and personal (minimum 3 participants). If the minimum isn’t met, we’ll offer an easy reschedule or credit.
